Who We Are

Congregation Brothers of Israel is a wonderfully diverse Modern Orthodox Congregation, fully committed to the laws and traditions of Judaism while recognizing the value of engaging the modern world as well.We offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere for individuals and families to worship.  

We welcome Jews of all levels of observance, and offer numerous opportunities for Jewish learning and spiritual growth.

Our synagogue is a center of vibrant Torah study offering numerous educational opportunities on all levels and venues.

In addition, CBI is the center of a vibrant community, with numerous social programs and activities for people of all ages.

Our synagogue is 102 years old.  It was founded by a group of Lithuanian immigrants and has moved four times during the past century. Our present home in Elberon is a beautiful modern synagogue which we have occupied for approximately 30 years
