Israel Action & Awareness

We are proud to announce that with the encouragement and support of many members we have started an Israel Action & Awareness committee (IAAC) to help add additional pro-Israel programming to our shul. Our goal is to incorporate pro-Israel activism, education, and inspiration into our congregational and community life.

Our committee will focus on Israeli current events, support of Israel, and promote programs that foster lifelong learning about all aspects of Israeli life, land and peoplehood.

We look forward to the broad involvement of our amazing  community to work together on this crucial front.

Phone Calls to Your Elected Officials

On Tuesday, more than 250,000 Americans are expected to gather on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to march for Israel, for freeing the hostages and against antisemitism. I am proud that CBI will be there.

The rally will show the Jewish community’s public support for Israel. It will send a message to members of Congress and the administration that we need them to stand with us.

But the rally alone isn’t enough!

It is vital that members of Congress hear directly from us. They need to know, in no uncertain terms, that the pro-Israel community recognizes and appreciates their support. Anti-Israel activists are inundating Capitol Hill with calls. In some congressional offices, calls are running 10-1 AGAINST Israel. We can help turn the tide.

Please call you representative and your senators and tell them to stand with Israel!

All you need to do is to go to
www.aipac.org/call.

From there, you can find the name and number of your members of Congress and a quick script of what to say. In less than 5 minutes, each of us can make a tangible effort to help Israel.

Thank you for all you are doing. The days are long and the work is tough, but by taking action and standing united we can ensure that America always stands with Israel.

TAKE ACTION

Dear Friends,

This time, I am writing the email, because Avi is otherwise occupied defending Am Yisrael in Medinat Yisrael.

He and his tzevet are together and in good spirits and could use our help.

They have, as he described them, helmets that look like they are from the Vietnam War Era. They could use and would greatly appreciate helmets that are better, stronger and provide more protection.

They need 45 of them, at a cost of roughly $50,000.

You have been there for Avi and his unit before and I am hoping that they can count on you again.

Hoping for better days of head, and davening for Am Yisrael!

In friendship and with tremendous gratitude,

Rabbi Nasanayl Braun
